Good to know

The 8-digit security code is printed on the back of physical cards, typically below the magnetic stripe — scratch off the silver panel if present. If you cannot find or read the security code, call 1-800-782-7282 and a representative can look up your balance by card number alone. You can also check your balance by scanning the barcode in the Starbucks app under the Card tab. If your card is registered to a Starbucks account, your balance is visible in the app without entering the security code.
